With locations around the world, CGC and USG have the resources, plants, products, and people to build walls, ceilings, and careers.CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Continuous Improvement Coordinator for our Manufacturing and Supply Chain operations, based in Surrey, British Columbia.It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their technical and analytical abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.Duties and responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Coordinator include:· Responsible for driving Continuous Improvement strategies and principles throughout Manufacturing and Supply Chain.· Ability to apply Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and LEAN to systematically eliminate waste and reduce process variation.· Ensures effective collaboration and communication to keep plant leadership apprised of program status.· Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategy.· Coordinates continuous improvement projects within the Plant.· Positions continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant by fostering strong collaboration. Includes working effectively with cross functional teams.· Effectively develop, analyze, and improve the LEAN Management system.· Executes and trains others to execute continuous improvement activities such as (A3's, Gemba Walks, Reflection Meetings, Kaizen, 5s).· Track, monitor, and report metrics associated with Reflection Boards.· Lead efforts for Project Home and 5S improvements.· Responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating Safety Training.Qualifications:· Able to attend and apply Continuous Improvement Fundamentals Training.· Preference to those with previous Continuous Improvement experience.· A minimum of two years experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, or distribution is strongly preferred.· Demonstrated leadership potential, particularly around change management and building high functioning teams.· Strong business orientation, including financial, mathematical, and statistical analysis skills.· Effective problem-solver who is results-oriented and able to foster support for change.· Proven organizational and project management skills.· IT competency in Microsoft Office programs.· Must be proactive, analytical, and process driven.· Proven organizational skills, including time and project management capability.· Able to inspire and motivate others.· Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals.· Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.What We OfferCGC offers competitive base salaries and cash incentive awards, comprehensive benefits, and financial protection for employees and their families.
