Shift: To be discussed in interviewIn a typical day you will:
- Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of offices, hallways, lunchrooms, washrooms, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Empty and sanitize trash bins, recycling containers, and disposal areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, buffers) safely and efficiently.
- Replenish supplies in restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Maintain exterior areas such as parking lots, sidewalks, and building entrances to ensure they are free of litter, debris, and hazards.
- Follow established cleaning schedules and checklists.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, damages, or maintenance issues to management.
- Support special cleaning projects as assigned.
- Collect waste and recyclable materials from production area and dispose of them
- Assist in the cleaning of any major spills of liquid or dry product as needed
- Perform specialized cleaning procedures in accordance with master sanitation schedule
- Adhere to cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines
- Comply with all applicable legislative and Wonderbrands Bakeries food safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Be a lover of bread and baked goods!
- Have previous experience in a manufacturing environment (even better if it was food manufacturing!)
- Have previous experience in sanitation (even better if it is industrial sanitation!)
- You are comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals
- You’ve got really strong attention to detail and are able to meet cleanliness standards set by the company
