The project offers up to two years of work, providing long-term stability for qualified tradespeople. This position involves outdoor pipe fabrication yard environment, supporting large-diameter pipe spools from 24” to 42”and fabricated assemblies.Anticipated Start Date: March-AprilLocation: Acheson, ABShift: Dayshift 4x10s (Mon-Thurs. 6am to 4:30pm) with potential for overtimeInclusive Rate: $59.56(for Journeyperson) -Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP matching, education, training and $3.00/hr outdoor premium)Hourly Rate: $45.30JOB DUTIES
Perform submerged arc welding in accordance with approved WPS and specifications
Set up, operate, and monitor Subarc welding equipment
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld maps, and procedures
Inspect, clean, grind, and repair welds as required
Coordinate with supervision to meet production targets
Maintain housekeeping standards in the fabrication yard
Participate in safety meetings and hazard assessments
Comply with Primoris safety and OH&S requirements
Complete required welding and traceability documentation
B-pressure welding with large diameter pipe using STT/FLUXCORE process is an asset
Ability to read and follow WPS and fabrication documentation
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity
CSTS-2020, CSO, or equivalent safety certification
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to work night shift in an outdoor yard environment
