- Plan, design, and coordinate water distribution, sanitary sewer, and stormwater management systems for municipal and utility clients.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
- Conduct hydraulic modeling and analysis for water and sewer networks.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and assist with permitting processes.
- Perform field investigations and site inspections during construction.
- Lead or support preparation of tender packages and construction documents.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project goals are met.
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical quality control processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s considered an asset).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Alberta or eligibility to obtain it.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in water/wastewater municipal engineering.
- Strong understanding of underground utility systems, trenchless technologies, and applicable municipal standards.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, InfoWater/InfoWorks, or similar.
- Familiarity with municipal and provincial standards (City of Calgary, Alberta Transportation, etc.).
- Excellent communication, report writing, and project coordination skills.
