Test & Validation Engineering, Technician

• Support validation engineers with testing and debug, lab shipping and receiving logistics, and inventory management of equipment and materials.
• Drive commissioning and qualification of equipment and equipment systems, maintains lab environments, equipment, and tools for hardware testing. Installs, uses, and updates hardware lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, pattern generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, digital multi-meters and others.
• Collect, organize, and document test equipment information, calibrations and upgrades.
• Collaborate with silicon validation engineering team for PCB and/or other hardware rework and troubleshooting test equipment problems.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-starter and able to drive tasks to closure.

• Electronics schematic reading and understanding.
• Repair, troubleshoot and/or rework complex multilayer PCB's.
• Able to handle and use test instrumentation such as multimeters, scopes, source meters, etc.
• Storing and moving heavy test instruments.
• Support shipping and receiving of lab equipment and components.
• Support lab assets/tools sourcing and purchasing.
• Support soldering/desoldering of small electronic components.
• Support preventive and corrective maintenance to test instruments.
• Assist Lab engineers with test-board preparation/validation for customer evaluations.
• Create, maintain and update Lab inventory.

• Knowledge of high-speed test instrumentation (real-time/sampling oscilloscopes, BERT, VNA, TDR).
• Knowledge in handling temperature stress testing and air compressor tools.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
