- Provide on-shift leadership, guidance, and support to frontline security staff to ensure adherence to site policies and procedures
- Act as the primary escalation point for incidents, supporting staff during medical emergencies, disturbances, and safety events
- Monitor surveillance systems, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect and respond to security incidents
- Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and internal stakeholders during incidents
- Support shift operations by maintaining situational awareness and ensuring effective communication across teams
- Review incident reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards
- Conduct on-shift quality checks to ensure performance, professionalism, and service delivery standards are met
- Collaborate with clinical teams, facilities, and site leadership to support coordinated responses
- Assist in implementing emergency response procedures, including fire, evacuation, and critical incidents
- Provide mentorship and real-time coaching to officers during shift to reinforce performance expectations and best practices
- Support onboarding and development of new staff, modelling standards and providing guidance during live operations
- Valid BC Security Worker Licence (SWL)
- Valid Advanced Security Training (AST) certificate
- Valid Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training is an asset
- Minimum 1-2 years of security supervisory or site lead experience, preferably in healthcare or high-profile environments.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, mentor, and manage a team effectively
- Strong understanding of incident management, emergency response protocols, and risk mitigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with staff, patients, and stakeholders
- Strong report writing, documentation, and incident review experience.
- Intermediate computer skills (incident reporting systems, email, basic MS Office)
- post-secondary education in Police Foundations, Community Justice Services, or Law Enforcement is an asset.
