As a Power Saw Operator (Slasher) you will be working closely on a small crew supporting our client in several different locations and terrains.The pay rate is $22.30- $27.57 per hour, depending on qualification and position.Job Duties
  • Brush cutting using Chainsaw or Brushsaw.
  • Working on steep slopes and uneven ground.
  • Groundwork support for trimming operations.
  • Chipper operation and loading brush.
  • Assist the Foreperson in job- site setup, debris removal, cleanup and equipment maintenance.
  • Abide by Davey and Industry safety policies and procedures.
  • Providing excellent customer service.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with maintenance and safe power saw operation.
  • Valid provincial driver's license. Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset.
  • Willingness to work towards becoming a certified arborist.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
  • Valid First Aid certification
  • Enform or Forest Safety Council training preferred.
  • Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress.
