As a Database and Analytics Specialist, you will be designing and implementing robust data solutions, optimizing queries, and delivering actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization platforms.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How You’ll Succeed
  • Data Warehousing and Administration- Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for high performance and reliability. Create and maintain data models and schemas for optimal data storage and retrieval. Configure and manage ETL processes, including SSIS packages to extract data from various sources and load it into the data warehouse.
  • Data Analytics & Visualization- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, and ServiceNow Platform Analytics. Leverage ServiceNow data structures for advanced reporting and visualization.
  • Programming & Scripting- Utilize programming languages such as C#, VBScript, and PowerShell for automation and data manipulation tasks.
  • Collaboration & Support- Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. Provide technical support and guidance on best practices for database and analytics solutions.
  • Relationships Building - Partner with end users, managers & directors to prioritize work and set goals on deliverables. Answer business data questions, investigate data quality/SLA issues and communicate resolution expectations.
  • Communication with Business Acumen – You understand our clients and keep up to date on retail lending products , processes, data sources, and overall Canadian economy to understand the impact on portfolio performance. You will develop presentation to communicate portfolio insights with business language.
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience of 4 + years in Microsoft SQL Server and its tools, including SSMS, SSIS, and SSRS. Strong experience in SQL query writing and optimization skills. Programming experience in C#, VBScript, and PowerShell. Experience designing and implementing data warehouses and ETL processes. Experience with ServiceNow reporting, dashboards, Platform Analytics and ServiceNow Query Builder. Proficiency with data visualization tools: Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. It is an asset if you have knowledge in other RDBMS such as Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB.
