ABOUT THE ROLEAmrize is looking for a Journeyman Welder. This role will require welding experience in a plant setting. The qualified candidate must be proficient in welding 6" schedule 40 pipe, 1.5" heat trace pipe, fabrication, building steel structures from engineered blueprints and basic site maintenance.This is a medium paced production environment, so a mechanical aptitude is important. You will need to be a safety minded individual who can think on their feet and adapt to changing situations.WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISHPerform welding repair and maintenance to production-related equipment, machinery, and structures.Utilize various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal components according to project specifications.Interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to execute precise welds.Conduct visual inspections of completed welds to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.Prepare work pieces by cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal using various tools and equipment.Ensure proper fit-up and alignment of components before welding.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOREducation: High school diploma or equivalentRequired Work Experience: Welding in an industrial environment is an asset.Required Training/Certifications: Valid Journeyman's Welder certification.Valid driver's license.
