- Act as the primary interface between Project Teams and the Commissioning Group, supporting clear communication and coordination.
- Provide subject matter expertise in Commissioning to advise and guide Project personnel.
- Collaborate closely with the Commissioning Team to sequence and coordinate commissioning activities across systems and work packages.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are properly sequenced in accordance with the Project Schedule, identifying and resolving misalignments as needed.
- Proactively identify and communicate project risks, conflicts, and opportunities related to Commissioning.
- Provide regular updates on commissioning progress and performance against schedule milestones.
- Maintain detailed working knowledge of the project schedule and ensure accurate input and updates from the Commissioning Group.
- Attend key Project meetings as the designated representative of the Commissioning Team.
- Collaborate with scheduling and planning teams to ensure integration of test activities and logical progression within the master schedule.
- Be responsive to Commissioning Managers for dynamic program delivery requirements in a shipyard waterfront environment.
- Other duties as required.
- Strong background in Commissioning, Engineering, or Project Integration roles, including post-secondary education; degree, diploma engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Registration as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT), Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) or Professional Engineer (PEng) with the applicable provincial association, or eligibility to complete such registration within 12 months of commencing employment.
- 10+ years of related technical experience.
- Proven ability to work across departments and manage competing priorities.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting and contributing to complex project schedules.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to represent Commissioning interests in multidisciplinary forums.
- Familiarity with submarine or naval refit programs.
- Marine, offshore oil and gas drilling, naval vessel, or submarine operational experience, an asset.
- Experience operating, testing/commissioning mechanical systems, an asset.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office suite.
- Eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
