Description :Join Our Team as a Distribution Design Engineer in Training!About the Role: MHV is looking for a motivated Distribution Design Engineer in Training to join our dynamic team. You'll work on overhead and underground distribution line design projects for utility and industrial clients, solving technical and logistical challenges hands-on. Enjoy a supportive environment with a diverse and talented team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Design overhead and underground distribution systems.
  • Prepare estimates, material take-offs, and scopes of work.
  • Perform electrical and structural calculations using tools like PLS-CADD and AutoCAD.
  • Create survey and construction packages.
  • Conduct site visits for project design and construction phases.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to meet project goals.
  • Assist in preparing engineering reports.
Required Qualifications:
  • 1 year of distribution project design experience.
  • Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
  • Eligible for EIT registration with APEGA.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
  • Commitment to continuous learning.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Experience with transmission lines or substations is a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, or MicroStation is a plus.
