The writings of contemporary political philosophers, as well as major figures in the history of philosophy, may be considered.Number of Positions: 1Estimated Course Enrollment: 200 studentsEstimated Number of Hours: 155 HoursSchedule: Lectures on Wednesdays 18:00-20:00; Tutorials on Thursdays 18:00, 19:00, 20:00Sessional Dates of Appointment: September 1st, 2025 - December 31st, 2025Rate of Pay: $54.27 per hour plus 4% vacation pay*Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.Minimum Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree in Philosophy. One year prior experience as a TA, preferably in Philosophy or a related field at U of T. Good prior knowledge of the subject matter of the course.Description of Duties:
- Holding 3 one-hour tutorials each week
- Preparation for tutorials and grading
- Grading
- Attending training sessions/meetings with the course instructor
- Organizing and submitting grades
- Holding office hours
- Lecture attendance
