
Senior Brand Manager - Horticulture

- Owning, developing, and leading horticulture brand campaigns in collaboration with Corn, Soy & Horticulture Crop Manager, Technical Service, Sales, and Customer Solutions Team (CXT) to implement effective campaigns for growers, retailers, and retail agronomists.
- Working with the horticulture sales team to support brand messaging, positioning, and sales.
- Supporting the Corn, Soy & Hort Crop Manager in managing horticulture portfolio profitability through monthly product forecasting, financial planning, programming, lifecycle management, and competitive insights to drive 10-year planning and resource allocation.
- Championing the horticulture brand to ensure consistent positioning across crops by partnering with other Brand Managers and the Corn, Soy & Horticulture Crop Manager.
- Aligning horticulture brands with the overall crop solution campaign and BASF Canada's go-to-market strategy, participating in the Product Launch Excellence (PLE) process for assigned brands, and assisting the Senior Brand Manager with annual and long-term budgeting.
- Leading insecticide lifecycle management (LCM) for BASF Canada, collaborating with regional marketing on new project concepts, developing business cases, and heading the Canadian insecticide molecule team.
- Coordinating integration and communication of the Horticulture Crop Solution campaign internally with Sales, CST, and Marketing, and externally with Channel partners; coaching and mentoring as appropriate.
- Supporting market program development and participating in Head Office customer strategy meetings; coordinating MRL alignment with processing companies for product approval and endorsement.
- Collaborating with the Corn, Soy & Horticulture Crop Manager and CST team on annual and long-term financial and accrual budget planning.
- A BSc in Business/Marketing or Agriculture.
- Minimum 8 years in sales and / or a marketing role, preferably within the agricultural industry.
- Sound understanding of marketing, sales and customer relationship management.
- An understanding of growers, distributors and agronomy for the crop protection industry.
- Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills as well as a proven record of achieving goals.
- Strong interpersonal skills including listening, presenting, writing, team work and the ability to lead a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel across Canada, as business needs dictate.
