Located in Calgary & Leduc with projects throughout Western Canada, we are a leader in the industry for turn-key new construction, maintenance, and prefabrication.Who You Are:We are currently seeking a Job Instructions Facilitator, Field to work with the leaders in various projects in Alberta and Northern BC.You will be the JI Facilitator to support and maintain the TWI system across field operations by coaching trained trainers and collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop Work Instructions (WIs) and Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs) as prioritized by Department Heads, following TWI standards. The role focuses on mentoring, relationship building, and delivering outcomes. The JI Facilitator reports to the Corporate Workforce Development Trainer within the guidelines set by the Director of CWD and company policies.This position is offered as a two-year term, with the potential for transition to a permanent role.Here’s what we offer you:

Responsibilities:
  • Align trainers with approved WI and JIB standards to maintain a consistent “Alstar way.”
  • Mentor Crew Foremen and trainers on the TWI methodology.
  • Observe field training and provide real-time feedback and coaching.
  • Lead training for program rollouts, project startups, and critical operations.
  • Develop and update WIs and JIBs based on leadership priorities.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and TWI compliance.
  • Submit finalized materials to the CWD Trainer for approval.
  • Support training through clear, prioritized documentation.
  • Ensure WIs are used in daily field work.
  • Work with Supervisors to include WIs and JIBs in tailgates and workflows.
  • Identify gaps between training standards and field practices and address them.
  • Maintain consistent procedures across field operations.
  • Coordinate with Construction Managers to use leaders’ time for training.
  • Reinforce the Alstar Way with SMEs using JI processes.
  • Evaluate and coach workers to meet Alstar standards.
Where Our Projects Are Located:
  • Our projects happen in Western Canada, and we must be willing to travel to all sites.
  • You will be required to travel sporadically to sites.
