
Apprentice Maintenance Millwright

- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment such as pumps, fans, tanks, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during the installation and set-up of machinery.
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment for correction completion.
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- Listen and receptive to instructions and work to achieve set goals, action plans and timelines for project completion.
- Apply knowledge and skills learned from coaches and mentors to ensure completion of the apprenticeship program.
- Be eligible for registration as a registered apprentice; or
- Be a registered apprentice.
- Motivated and willing to learn.
- As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.
