- Manages and facilitates the full cycle recruitment and hiring process, including but not limited to:
- Building and growing a pipeline that supports our search for diverse top talent, and keeping on top of promising new sourcing channels
- Supporting hiring managers across the organization through the recruitment process and ensuring that correct and consistent information is provided
- Partnering with the hiring manager to determine staffing needs and providing recommendations
- Managing and ensuring all job descriptions are up to date, and assisting with the creation of new job descriptions, including job descriptions for union roles, non-union, and specialized roles
- Posting vacancies on the Maximus Canada careers page and other posting sites, including LinkedIn
- Assisting with the initial screening of applications as needed
- Developing interview questions and guides as needed
- Conducting interviews alongside hiring managers as needed
- Following up on the interview process status
- Acting as a liaison between hiring managers and job candidates
- Preparing and sending letters to successful candidates
- Onboarding all new Maximus Canada employees
- Using technical expertise to assist with sourcing applicants for technical and other specialized roles as needed
- Assisting in planning and implementing recruitment, marketing and employer branding strategy to attract high-quality applicants
- Attending career fairs and other community events on behalf of Maximus Canada
- Ensuring seamless communication across the HR and Payrolls teams concerning new hires
- Ensuring human resources records are accurate, confidential and reported promptly in the HRIS system
- Keeping up to date on various recruitment technology tools, including applicant tracking systems, internet sourcing platforms, social media channels, etc
- Developing and maintaining a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates locally and nationally through the development and maintenance of a network of contacts and related databases
- Researching recruitment and onboarding best practices/trends and providing recommendations to the HR Team
- Providing recruitment-related project support to the HR Team as required
- Performs other recruitment-related duties as required
- 3-5 years of related experience in recruitment or in a similar HR role
- Completion of a Human Resources Management degree/diploma, other related degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- CPHR or similar designation would be an asset.
- Technical expertise with an ability to understand and explain job requirements for IT roles, considered an asset
- Experience sourcing utilizing LinkedIn and other social media platforms would be high ly desirable
