You will be part of an administrative team responsible for coordinating workflow for our automotive technicians. You will be involved in sourcing parts, preparing quotes, creating work orders, and monitoring production timelines for our technicians and detailers. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience as a Service Advisor.You Are:Detail-oriented. You have a keen attention to detail and take pride in delivering quality work.Efficient. You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and can prioritize tasks to maximize productivity within the shop.Reliable. You are dependable and can be counted on to complete your tasks as assigned.You Will:Respond to customer inquiries, obtaining vehicle and service information, and ensuring customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention for all contacts and transactionsPromotion of OPENLANE's Mechanical services to auction customers, recommending necessary or value-added repairs that would be appropriate for the customer & coordinating repair process if approvedAccurately quote mechanical service repairs, including costing of materials, supplies, and labour for dealer, retail, and commercial customers in accordance with SLA's and company proceduresPrepare repair orders, including description of repairs and services authorizedConsult with service technicians regarding diagnostics, required or recommended service work, and status of pre & post sale inspectionsComplete all administrative functions related to mechanic shop operation, including preparing quotes, seeking approval from customers, ordering parts/supplies, preparing invoices, posting fees/work into AMS, and other data entry tasksServe as mechanic shop liaison for arbitrations, working in conjunction with OPENLANE's Claims Operations departmentMust Haves:2-3 years’ experience as an Automotive Service AdvisorStrong customer service and communication skillsAble to efficiently respond to various requests at one timeNice to Haves:Previous experience or education as an Automotive Service Technician or Apprentice.Basic mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with customers and techniciansExperience with Mitchell estimating systemFamiliarity with Google SuiteSound like a match?
