
Lease Accountant

- Manage end-to-end lease accounting processes including identification, classification, measurement, and recognition of lease transactions
- Maintain accurate lease databases and schedules, including lease modifications and terminations
- Calculate and record lease liabilities, right-of-use assets, and related amortization schedules
- Perform monthly lease accounting journal entries and reconciliations
- Prepare lease-related financial statement disclosures and footnotes
- Support quarterly and annual audit processes, providing lease documentation and analysis
- Collaborate with legal, procurement, and facilities teams on lease negotiations and renewals
- Review and analyze new lease agreements for proper accounting treatment
- Prepare management reports on lease portfolio metrics and financial impacts
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, with lease accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of lease accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel and financial analysis
- Experience with ERP systems (Workday) and lease accounting software
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
