
Project Engineer

- Responsible for completing manufacturing feasibility analysis, cost analysis, and quotations for new programs on a timely basis.
- Product customization and configuration management.
- Outline tasks and timing on projects, and ensure projects remain on track.
- Source new vendors and new components and/or materials applicable to the design of new products.
- Participate in cross-functional team activities and meetings as required and assigned.
- Maintain the integrity of the departmental quality requirements and continuous improvement activities through effective day-to-day implementation of procedures.
- Coordinate prototyping and testing of new project products in conjunction with the customer.
- Assist with tool and fixture design for production assembly.
- Troubleshoot production line issues and quality issues as required.
- Post-secondary in Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma.
- 1-3 years experience in manufacturing or design is an asset.
- Strong computer skills, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to read drawings.
- Understanding of BOM, cost structures, and labor routings.
- Knowledge of injection molding, wire/cable processing, crimping, machining, casting, and plating
- Strong attention to detail is a must.
- Awareness of AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC).
