- Follow all Federal, Provincial, and local environmental and transportation regulations (TDG)
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe/compliant manner.
- Driving the Box Truck to different customer sites - collection of waste.
- Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pick-ups in a timely manner.
- Transporting waste back to a branch.
- May visit 10-12 customer sites per day.
- Picking up/delivering waste services, making drop offs to our disposal facilities.
- Switch out 15- & 30-gallon drums of solutions.
- Service parts washer machines and clean out sediment from sinks.
- Services automotive repair, fleets, and manufacturing type businesses.
- Upselling products/ additional services, generating new sales leads.
- Sell additional products and services into existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate records using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM)
- Actively prospect for new accounts in assigned route.
- Achieve monthly sales targets.
- Work with route drivers to convert new sales opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver customer quotes.
- Other duties as required.
- Motivated and dedicated to strengthening, maintain and build customer relationships.
- Valid Class DZ license is highly preferred.
- Experience driving straight trucks (manual transmission) highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG).
- Environmental services or hazardous waste experience are highly preferred.
- Familiarity Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems is an asset.
- Physically able to perform job duties.
