- Safely operate a boom/crane truck and perform daily inspections in accordance with company and DOT regulations.
- Ensure all loads are secured properly and comply with weight restrictions and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records including pre- and post-trip inspections, driver logs, and maintenance reports.
- Report any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Deliver building materials to a variety of job sites including rooftops, upper floors, or precise drop points using boom/crane operation.
- Load and unload goods with attention to product integrity and customer property.
- Navigate efficiently and follow all traffic laws and delivery schedules.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch, shipping/receiving teams, and customers to ensure smooth deliveries.
- Provide courteous, professional service that reflects the company's family values and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests during delivery interactions.
- Assist in loading materials, inventory replenishment, and warehouse activities when required.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to optimize route efficiency and delivery accuracy.
- participate in cross-training opportunities and support broader operational needs.
- Adhere strictly to health and safety policies and attend all required safety training.
- Follow proper lifting techniques and ensure the safe use of all tools and equipment.
- Take every reasonable precaution to ensure personal safety and the safety of others on-site.
- Class 1 or 3 license with air brake endorsement.
- Boom Truck Certification (or willingness to complete training upon hiring).
- Clean Driver's Abstract.
- Previous experience operating boom/crane trucks or heavy commercial vehicles.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of load limits, hydraulics, and rigging safety.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in varying weather conditions.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and maneuvering heavy materials safely.
