Then, watch for a unique link in your email to apply.We are looking for a highly motivated Building Operator to join our Operations team in Vancouver. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and adjusting building equipment to ensure maximum efficiency. With a customer service focused mindset, you will also ensure all tenant and operation teams’ requests are completed in a timely manner.As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:Monitoring the day-to-day operations/repairs of the building’s HVAC equipment (including pumps, motors, fans, Variable speed drives, compressors, etc.), Life Safety systems, building automation systems and lighting systemsWater treatment program, regular water tests and addition of chemicalsPreventative maintenance on all buildings and HVAC equipment including small plumbing repairs and drain clearingTimely responses/resolutions of all tenant requests logged through tenant portal, and ensuring there is on-going communication with tenants regarding any mechanical/HVAC issuesLiaising with service providers and contractorsReviewing and monitoring contracted work to ensure everything is being performed in safe manner, as well as compliant with building standardsDeveloping energy priorities for building systems to keep in line with Oxford’s sustainability practices and objectives, including daily energy management of HVAC and lighting systemsGeneral maintenance and other duties as requestedTo succeed in this role, you have/are:At least one year of technical and mechanical building operations experienceA trade certification is an assetGeneral knowledge and experience operating HVAC equipment, plumbing, electrical, BAS, FAS and Life Safety Systems in a Class A office/retail complex4th Class Power Engineering CertificationSkills in blueprint reading, as applied to technical areasExceptional skills in communication, organization, customer service, interpersonal and time managementThe ability to work with minimal supervision8-hour work shift and as-needed basis during weekendsAble to lift 25lbAble to climb and safely use laddersGood communication skills and must be a team playerRecent graduates of the 4th class program who recently acquired the 4th class ticket are encouraged to applyFor this position specifically, the annualized base salary range is $65,000 - $78,000 Plus Bonus.
