Senior Property AccountantOur client:

They offer a collaborative, fast-paced environment and a hybrid work model, with strong opportunities for career growth.Principal tasks and responsibilities include:Oversee full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standardsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and reconciliationsHandle complex CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations, recoveries, and realty tax billingsManage budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for assigned propertiesPrepare annual financial statements, cost statements, and audit packagesCollaborate with auditors, property managers, and stakeholders to maintain financial transparencyAssist with financial integration of new property acquisitionsSupport ad-hoc financial projects and process improvementsQualifications and pre-requisites:3+ years of experience in property or real estate accountingBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA designation (or in progress) preferredStrong knowledge of full-cycle property accounting, including CAM reconciliations and financial reportingExperience with ERP accounting systems - Yardi is a strong assetAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)Excellent communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel to properties when requiredAdditional information or perks:Compensation: $90,000-$100,000 (based on experience)Hybrid flexibility (Toronto-based role)Exposure to complex property accounting processes with strong career development potentialInclusive workplace with accommodations available during the hiring process
