- We’re looking for someone who can integrate with the business and build alongside it — leading recruitment for technical and supervisory roles, standing up onboarding, and bringing structure to a fast-growing transit operation.
- You will partner directly with operational leaders and the HR Director, while also personally owning delivery across talent, onboarding, and workforce insights.
- This role is for someone who operates as a builder first and advisor second.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for technical, skilled trades, and supervisory roles
- Build pipelines in a competitive labour market and adjust strategies in real time
- Identify candidates aligned with both operational needs and company culture
- Deliver results with a focus on hiring outcomes
- Design and implement onboarding programs suited for a frontline, highly specialized, safety-critical environment
- Partner with leaders to ensure new hires are effectively integrated and set up for success
- Own reporting on hiring, turnover, and workforce metrics
- Translate data into actionable insights for leadership
- Support corporate reporting requirements
- Work closely with the HR Director on HR and legal-related matters
- Support employee relations, documentation, and risk-based decision-making
- Exercise sound judgment in complex or sensitive situations
- Establish and improve HR processes in a growing and evolving environment
- Bring structure without slowing down business operations
- Continuously refine and improve processes
- Wage range $65,000 - $75,000

- You are independent and accountable
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect information
- CHRP is considered an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- 3–5 years of HR experience, including recruitment and business partnering
- Experience in operations-heavy environments (e.g., transportation, infrastructure)
- Strong understanding of Ontario employment legislation and practices
- Experience with onboarding, workforce planning, and HR reporting
- Strong judgment, resilience, and prioritization skills
