- Ensure that the team members are mentored, coached and trained to work efficiently and safely.
- Do quality checks on completed work and closing with operations within the ERP system.
- Ability to multi-task with strong time management skills.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Good communication with co-workers in a collaborative team environment.
- Crane operation.
- Working knowledge of metals, identification, mechanical properties, and machinability.
- Proficient with reading & interpreting manufacturing drawings, Imperial dimensioning systems & symbols.
- Proficient with Math and Geometry.
- Organizational and planning skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Reads and interprets blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Verify accuracy.
- Requires min 3 years shop floor leadership experience in a welding / fabrication environment
- Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Previous experience leading multi-disciplinary custom welding teams.
- Experience with industrial equipment, trucks and trailers.
- Experience with an ERP or database system.
- Six-sigma or other lean credentials considered an asset.
- Red-Seal Journeyman certificate considered an asset (Welding, Fitting)
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing on your feet for a long period of time.
- Have good eye to hand coordination.
- Be able to bend, crouch and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
- 99% working indoors in a temperature controlled, well maintained facility
- Afternoon Shift – Monday – Friday 4:00pm – 2:30pm
