If you want to be part of tomorrow’s health today, we want to hear from you.Job SummaryReporting to the PMO Director, the Senior Project Manager manages cross-functional teams responsible for the successful on-time and on-budget delivery of projects, within a change-managed framework. Projects will be related to any line of business from the Biopharma & Provider Solutions (BPS) business unit of McKesson Canada, and can range from functional specific to enterprise wide in nature.The Project Manager will define, plan, organize, monitor, and oversee multiple large scale projects and/or programs to meet defined objectives, is able to direct and manage projects with other McKesson Project Managers, ensures that appropriate action plans are in place to resolve any risks, issues or project health deficiencies and will provide clear and consistent communication across the organization.Specific Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of project management (scope, budget, schedule, procurement, quality, safety and risk mitigation) for your projects.
  • Develop project schedules, plans, roles and responsibilities, and manage scope;
  • Identify milestones and deliverables and set deadlines and coordinates activities;
  • Manage critical path and dependencies to other ongoing initiatives within BPS;
  • Develops clear objectives, deliverables, and timelines/milestones (incl. commonly agreed-to deadlines with business users and/or external customers) as required to achieve the project objectives. ;
  • Identifying project risks and oversee the development of risk treatment plans;
  • Co-ordinates User Acceptance Testing for developed solutions and features;
  • Supports the project team and stakeholders in understanding their accountability and timely escalation of out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Develops and implements action plans to correct variances.
  • Anticipates and responds to the client and project team’s needs and concerns;
  • Coordinates with the business partner community to devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems or improves existing processes;
  • Provides partners with alternative solutions and recommendations;
  • Oversees the management of project risks, actions, issues and decisions;
  • Exhibits a good understanding of BPS governance policies, procedures, SOPs, and technology stack.
  • Oversees the preparation of accurate, timely, and complete project reports.
  • Provides regular project status updates to external stakeholders and BPS leadership.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field is required, with a preference for Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of project management experience in developing detailed project plans and proven track record of project management success with large scale projects ($10M+ in budget).
  • Experience working with various process models (SDLC, SaaS, Organizational Transformations, Process Engineering, etc.).
  • Experience in agile/iterative delivery.
  • Experience with organizational transformations and process improvement.
  • Prior experience with system implementations.
  • Advanced experience with MS Project / Smartsheet (or equivalent), Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams/SharePoint, Visio, and JIRA

  • Prior experience in Patient Support Programs.
