Position OverviewLambert Nemec Group has partnered with a mission-driven, community-focused non-profit organization to recruit for an experienced and values-aligned Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership.This role offers the chance to lead a purpose-driven organization delivering support services, education, and advocacy work aimed at strengthening individual and community well-being. The Executive Director will work closely with staff, volunteers, and a committed Board of Directors to advance the organization’s mission and community impact.Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for overall leadership and management of the organization. This includes guiding strategic priorities, overseeing operations and finances, supporting staff and organizational culture, and strengthening relationships with external partners and funders.The successful candidate will balance strategic leadership with hands-on management, ensuring the organization remains mission-aligned, financially stable, and responsive to the communities it serves.Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership that advances the organization’s mission, values, and ethical framework
  • Guide strategic planning, organizational development, and priority-setting
  • Support a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture
  • Oversee financial management, budgeting, and reporting in partnership with the Board
  • Lead fund development efforts, including grant funding and relationship-building
  • Represent the organization externally with partners, stakeholders, and the broader community
  • Ensure effective governance through strong collaboration with the Board of Directors
Ideal Candidate
  • An effective communicator with strong relationship-building abilities
  • Experienced in leading teams within complex or resource-constrained environments
  • Committed to equity, inclusion, and ethical practice
  • Comfortable with financial oversight and organizational accountability
  • Collaborative in approach and supportive of shared leadership and staff development
  • Experienced in community-based or human services work
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of senior leadership or management experience, preferably within a non-profit or community organization
  • Demonstrated experience in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and financial management
  • Understanding of trauma-aware, person-centred, or relational approaches to service delivery
  • Experience working with diverse communities and partners
Rewards
  • Salary range of $90,000 – $110,000 , depending on experience.
