Location: Intercontinental PulpOur Asset Integrity Engineers play a critical role in the safe, productive and (regulatory) compliant running of our x3 Pulp and Paper operations in Prince George, BC. In this position you will bring your extensive experience to the forefront as you provide direct support in the execution and support of Risk Based Inspections (RBI); Quality Assurance & Control; Pressure Equipment Engineering; review and approval of equipment installations, repairs and alteration; and Management of Change Process. This role Act as Subject Matter Expert for the Management of Change involving fixed assets (Tanks, Pressure Equipment and various other piping systems).When it comes to people, you will interface closely with Canfor Pulp Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations groups, where your demonstrated leadership and the ability to influence without authority will be paramount. You will gain exposure to all technical elements of Asset Integrity while sharing your expertise among these same teams. You will also be expected to share your expertise and provide guidance in the support and mentorship of those individuals who are in the earlier stages of their Engineering careers.RBI Responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity of the RBI database and IOWs
- Perform annual RBI audits in each mill area
- Assist area engineers with development of inspection plans for static equipment
- Perform RBI review for proposed plant changes as required
- Participate in Plant Change Audits
- RBI Training for employees
- RBI review of proposed major maintenance and capital budget items
- Assist area teams to develop timely preventative maintenance plans for static equipment
- Assist area teams by recommending alternatives for repairs on static equipment based on degradation history
- Work with NDE companies to improve inspection techniques and reporting
- Maintainance of the QA/QC manual
- Final approval of all pressure equipment installation and repairs
- Organization awareness of our QA/QC program and requirements to meet compliance
- Facilitate training of technical personnel (welders, pipefitters, inspectors, engineers, NDE)
- Provide support and recommendations to area teams on inspection technologies
- Development and communication engineering standards
- Lead for welding inspection
- Liaise with BCSA boiler and gas branch
