- Program and project management experience and technical management or engineering experience.
- Understanding of the technical and financial practices at corporate and business unit levels.
- A technical designation and/or equivalent post-secondary degree.
- Excellent understanding of the SR&ED program and the processes and tools available.
- Detail-oriented with an aptitude for communication and writing technical reports.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a self-starting “get it done” attitude.
- Previous experience in a forest products environment considered an asset.
- Maintain and improve the Tolko SR&ED Program.
- Manage the processes for identification, approval, documentation, and monitoring of potential SR&ED projects.
- Provide guidance and recommendations on optimizing SR&ED eligibility and tax credits.
- Act as Tolko’s representative at external meetings, conferences, and seminars with CRA.
- Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to identify synergies and opportunities for SR&ED claims.
- Act as a liaison between FP Innovations staff and Tolko staff, and manage external SR&ED consultants.
- Work with SR&ED Champions and Team Leaders to identify projects, provide training, and review documentation.
- Provide monthly and quarterly progress reports.
- Maintain and promote the use of the Tolko Projects Database.
- Undertake site visits to review project eligibility and documentation.
- Assist with technical write-ups for tax filings.
- Explore and lead the application processes for external grants and funding.

- You’ll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. The expected base salary range for this position is $95,250 - $127,000 per year.
