We are currently seeking a "MuleSoft Executive Architect" for a contract role with one of our clients in Edmonton, AB/ REMOTE.Duration: 4+ MonthsPosition Overview:We are seeking a seasoned MuleSoft Executive Architect to lead the enterprise integration strategy and delivery across cloud and hybrid environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform, especially Mule 4.x, CloudHub 2.0, and Runtime Fabric. As a strategic leader and hands-on architect, you will guide complex digital transformation initiatives, API-first strategies, and modernization of legacy systems, including mainframe integrations.Key Responsibilities:Lead the enterprise architecture and design of integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.Define and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing integration strategies across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.Architect and govern the use of Mule Runtime Engine (Mule 4.x) to ensure consistency and performance across projects.Design and implement next-generation deployment models using CloudHub 2.0, ensuring scalability, resilience, and observability.Lead hybrid integration deployments using Runtime Fabric, balancing on-prem and cloud-native architectures.Oversee API design and lifecycle management, promoting reuse, modularity, and governance across the enterprise.Create high-quality RAML specifications and ensure adherence to best practices in RESTful API modeling.Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and delivery partners to align integration solutions with enterprise goals.Provide leadership in establishing standards, frameworks, and reusable components across integration platforms.Mentor architects and developers on MuleSoft best practices, performance tuning, and architectural patterns.Required Qualifications:10+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years specifically in enterprise architecture and integration.Strong expertise in MuleSoft and the Anypoint Platform, including:Mule Runtime Engine 4.x: Deep understanding of flows, message processing, connectors, and DataWeave.CloudHub 2.0: Hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud-native integrations.Runtime Fabric: Proven experience with hybrid deployments across on-prem and cloud.Proven ability to design and manage APIs using RAML, with an emphasis on best practices in API-first development.Strong understanding of API management, versioning, throttling, security policies, and monitoring.Experience modernizing legacy systems, including mainframe integration approaches.Solid grasp of enterprise security, data privacy, and compliance as it relates to integration.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect or Platform Architect is highly preferred.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft.Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).Familiarity with other integration platforms or tools (e.g., Dell Boomi, Apigee, IBM Integration Bus) is a plus.Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, government) is an asset.Regards, Simran Vijayvargiya Cell: 973.913.7350 Email: Simran.vijayvargiya@artech.com
