- Evaluate medical impairments and disabilities through review of electronic records and share your opinions about cause, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis by way of written opinions or discussion in team meetings.
- Provide evidence-based medical recommendations to adjudicating officers making claim entitlement decisions.
- Collaborate with community physicians to ensure workers’ rehabilitations and medical-management needs are being met.
- Work in a case-management team environment with both medical and non-medical colleagues, providing opinions and recommendations.
- Apply academic and clinical knowledge and experience to find effective, personalized, and supportive solutions that help injured workers recover and return to work safely
- Work collaboratively in a team environment with both medical and non-medical colleagues
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
- Eligible for full licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
- A minimum of five years of experience in clinical practice including family medicine, sports medicine, or emergency medicine
- An interest in rehabilitation, mental health, occupational medicine, or occupational health and safety and disability management concepts, including return-to-work planning
- Willing to work in a team-based environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Successfully meet the legal requirements under the Criminal Records Review Act to work with children and/or vulnerable adults
- Confirm you’re legally entitled to work in Canada and eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.
