The Room Service Manager oversees all facets of the Room Service, Private Bar and Le Cafe Department and must supervise the consistency, quality and efficiency of food and beverage service and amenities for the hotel guests rooms & suites.What you will do:
- Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel’s Room Service, Private Bar and Le Cafe Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met: long-range strategic planning for outlet operation.
- The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
- Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining and in-room private bar services.
- Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, inventory control and cost control measures
- Observe physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlet and make recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments
- The ability to work closely with the Executive Chef, Director of Food & Beverage, and Banquet Chef to create a seamless experience.
- The ability to design effective menu and amenity options while ensuring excellent product quality at a fair price and attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.
- Follow all EcoSure hygiene regulations and ensure compliance with Four Seasons policies
- Successfully open & manage our Seasonal Spa Terrace, designing efficient & creative F&B menu for this operation with the goal driving revenue.
- Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in Hotel Management / Restaurant Management preferred or equivalent experience.
- Two to three years of progressive experience in a luxury hotel with experience in Food and Beverage.
- Experience managing within a unionized work environment is an asset.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus).
