Our client is a well-established contract research organization with over 35 years of expertise supporting the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. The organization plays a key role in advancing drug development through cutting-edge research in bioanalysis, clinical trials, and pharmacology.
Their bioanalytical laboratory in Laval is currently seeking an R&D Scientist specializing in LC-MS bioanalytical method development to join a high-performing and collaborative team.Position Overview
Reporting to the Principal Scientist / R&D Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing GLP-compliant bioanalytical methods using LC-MS technologies.
This role is critical in ensuring analytical quality, solving complex scientific challenges, and supporting operational teams during validation and production phases.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate GLP-compliant LC-MS bioanalytical methods independently
  • Optimize and troubleshoot instrumentation (HPLC and LC-MS)
  • Perform sample preparation and batch extractions
  • Monitor and interpret analytical results to ensure validity and reliability
  • Support operational teams with method-related challenges during validation and production
  • Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Prepare technical reports, method presentations, and documentation (BAM)
  • Participate in general R&D lab activities (reagents, calibration, equipment upkeep)
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of analytical processes
Qualifications
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in bioanalytical LC-MS method development (GLP environment)
  • Degree (DEC or university) in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related field
  • Strong knowledge of analytical principles and instrumentation (HPLC, LC-MS)
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented with a continuous learning mindset
