About Our ClientOur client in Toronto is seeking an experienced Controller to join our team for a 12 month contract opportuntiy.Responsibilities:The Financial Controller will play a critical role in managing all aspects of financial reporting, payroll processing, tax compliance, and overseeing finance-related processes. The Controller will lead the full bi-weekly payroll cycle, reconcile bank accounts, manage cash-flow forecasts, oversee vendor payments and perform the month-end close.The Controller will deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with insightful analysis for senior management. You will and handle all GST, U.S. duty, and other statutory filings; liaise with external tax advisers and auditors to ensure full compliance. The successful Controller will maintain robust internal controls, drive automation, and support budgeting and forecasting with the CFO.Qualifications:· CPA designation, candidates pursuing CPA will also be considered.· Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and expertise with MS Office Suite.· Strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.· Excellent attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving abilities.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
