PURPOSE AND SCOPE:Fit and sub assemble parts to Print; bench and floor assembly of fixtures; plumbing of pneumatic and hydraulic circuits; apply knowledge of mechanisms, shop mathematics, basic lay-out and assembly procedures and blue print reading; able to work independently and with the assembly team during the phase of a machine build including debug and commissioning.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, schematics, bill of materials, machine-tool build assembly drawingsFabricate, Machine basic metal components and assemblies as requiredFit and assemble parts and sub-assemblies to build special-purpose machineryIntegrate pneumatic and hydraulic systems into special-purpose machineryCoordinate with the Electrician, and PLC Programmer to provide for their needs, in a timely manner. Advise designers of any floor assembly design problems, coordinating work if requiredEnsures that all work and inspections are properly documentedConduct test runs with completed equipment ensure that parts meet specifications; and make adjustments if necessaryEnsuring the adherence to ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 allJohnson Electric's policies and any other industry standards in all activitiesProvide mechanical support during debug, integration, and machine acceptanceReassemble equipment to the point of buy-off at customer's site. Train maintenance and operators on running equipment and following safety proceduresVerify conformance of manufactured parts to specifications, using measuring instruments; such as, scales, calipers, micrometers and fixed gaugesAttend design reviews as requiredAssists with Continuous Improvement ProjectsRecommend design changes to parts with regard to improving manufacturing, assembly and maintenance processesMaintain cleanliness of personal work areas and job zonesCoordinate continuous improvement initiativesPerform other related duties as requiredQUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:Five years’ experience in automation/machine assembly or millwright experience, preferably with machining skills. Hands on technical skills with respect to Mechanical AssemblyAbility to read Blue Prints and use precision instruments (Imperial and Metric)Ability to read and interpret Hydraulic and Pneumatic schematicsExperience with rigging/lifting techniquesStrong Mechanical AptitudeMust demonstrate patience and consistent attention to detailBasic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) requiredFast-working, without sacrificing qualityUnderstands and follows all safety requirementsMust be able to occasionally travel and work overtime including weekends as requiredAble to communicate effectively, both written and verbally, at all levels of the organizationHigh level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientationCome join our global, inclusive & diverse teamOur purpose is to improve the quality of life of everyone we touch through our innovative motion systems.
