- Deliver the rewrite of the SPP Outlook report
- Supports the Client’s enterprise business information and reporting requirements by designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Business Intelligence solutions using OBIEE and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- Develops and supports OBIEE RPD semantic models that accurately reflect the Client’s dimensional warehouse structures, including facts, dimensions, hierarchies, conformed dimensions, aggregates, and subject areas.
- Develops and supports BI Publisher solutions (mandatory), including pixel‑perfect reporting using multiple template types (e.g., RTF, Excel, PDF), data models, scheduling, bursting, delivery, and troubleshooting.
- Develops and supports customized query and reporting solutions that analyze key business and operational data, ensuring alignment between business definitions and underlying data structures.
- Develops and supports guided analysis, drill‑downs, dashboards, alerts, and notifications to enable operational monitoring and strategic decision‑making.
- Implements and supports routine scheduling, distribution, and notification processes for report generation, delivery, and alerting (including failure monitoring and remediation).
- Provides stakeholders with solution options and recommendations for managing and analyzing business data, including approach options to measure progress and quantify the impact of operational actions on business objectives.
- Investigates and resolves incidents and defects related to BI solutions, including data discrepancies, security/access issues, performance bottlenecks, scheduling failures, and report rendering/output issues.
- Performs structured root cause analysis and implements corrective and preventative actions to reduce recurring reporting and data issues.
- Collaborates with ETL, database, and application teams to understand upstream transformations, refresh schedules, dependencies, and data lineage to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Works in a process-driven delivery environment using Azure DevOps, including creating and refining user stories, estimating work, tracking tasks, documenting acceptance criteria, and maintaining traceability from requirements to delivered outputs.
- Supports report and content lifecycle management, including archive and unarchive procedures, promotion across environments, versioning, and appropriate documentation/knowledge transfer.
- Experience analyzing data in source systems and downstream layers to identify data cleanliness and integrity issues (e.g., missing values, duplicates, invalid values, inconsistent business definitions).
- Experience developing feedback processes to address data quality issues at the source and/or within ETL processes, including reconciliation checks and audit controls.
- Experience understanding and working with ETL processes and schedules that populate reporting repositories, including:
- Initial loads and incremental loads
- Dependency logic and orchestration
- Monitoring, logging, and error notification
- Incident response and recovery procedures
- Experience developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting BI reports and dashboards in production environments, including:
- Data discrepancies (source vs. report)
- Performance issues (slow dashboards/reports)
- Security/access problems (row-level/object-level)
- Report scheduling and bursting failures
- BI Publisher layout/output rendering issues
- Proven troubleshooting and analytical experience, including a structured approach to root cause analysis and documenting fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Experience in process decomposition/mapping and understanding business processes to ensure reporting outputs align to business operations and measurement needs.
- Experience developing and maintaining documentation such as technical specifications, mapping documents, runbooks, and knowledge transfer artifacts.
- Experience in working within defined SDLC / governance practices, including change management, environment promotion, and release support.
- Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Oracle-based ETL tooling.
- Experience developing monitoring and error notification processes to ensure data is updated as designed and issues are proactively identified.
- Hands-on experience working with stakeholders to develop and document interface specifications between BI solutions and external systems.
- Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling tools such as PowerDesigner and Visio.
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of AODA and related regulations and standards.
- Exposure to Power BI (asset; primary focus remains OBIEE/OAC/BI Publisher).
- You have demonstrated hands‑on experience developing and supporting BI solutions using OBIEE and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC).
- BI Publisher is mandatory: you have hands‑on experience designing, developing, and supporting BI Publisher reports and delivery processes using different templates (e.g., RTF/Excel/PDF), including scheduling and bursting.
- You have strong knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts, including star/snowflake schemas, facts and dimensions, conformed dimensions, hierarchies, and aggregate strategies; and you can apply these principles to OBIEE semantic layer design.
- You have strong SQL skills (SQL Server preferred), including the ability to validate results, reconcile metrics, and optimize query performance for reporting workloads.
- You have good knowledge of ETL architecture, processes, and data flow, including incremental vs. full loads, dependency scheduling, monitoring, error handling, and data quality controls.
- You have experience working in a structured delivery model using Azure DevOps, including user stories, tasks, backlog/sprint execution, and documentation of acceptance criteria and outcomes.
- You have proven analytical and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose and resolve end‑to‑end reporting issues (data, model, performance, scheduling, security, and output).
