- Work closely and assist the WGL Energy Leadership team in daily operations and strategic planning.
- Manage departmental and company projects within time and budget guidelines, including the conduct of research, preparation of presentation materials, development of recommendations, project implementation, monitoring and revision as necessary.
- Participate in departmental planning and the monthly reporting process by collecting and monitoring actual performance data against prepared forecasts.
- Conduct research and analysis to support business decisions.
- Develop financial models and create business case presentations.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage special projects and initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments.
- Support the development and implementation of business strategies.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators and provide insights.
- Provide additional support on requested tasks, prioritize tasks, communicate across the team, proactively report performance, and develop next steps.
- Be able to collaborate, and explicitly communicate and work with AltaGas and Washington Gas team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related field is required. MBA is preferred.
- 1-3 Years accounting, financial or business experience required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality products under rapidly changing priorities.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Communicate proactively and follow up as needed.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
