- Responsible for maintaining the scheduled maintenance program in its entirety for all fleet types in accordance with company, manufacturer, and Transport Canada requirements;
- Ensure the most current and applicable Maintenance planning documents (MPD), Maintenance Review Board (MRB), Air Worthiness limitation (AWL), Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS), and Configuration Maintenance & Procedures (CMP) requirements are maintained and implemented into the computer maintenance tracking system (CMTS) , MSA's (Maintenance Schedule Approval), associated task cards, and engineering controls;
- In charge of reviewing, developing and implementing custom scheduled maintenance program task cards and engineering controls with industry approved data to support Production;
- Accountable for receiving, reviewing, and resolving complex requests from Production in relation to scheduled maintenance task cards and engineering control requirements;
- Must receive, review, and update aircraft schedule adjustment requests from Planning in relation to the scheduled maintenance program on each fleet type to maintain requirements and efficiencies (Non MSA);
- Responsible for receiving, reviewing, and applying new and updated supplemental type certificates (STC) and instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA) requests from Fleet Engineering and incorporate into CMTS and the MSA;
- Must provide structured and documented staff training to Programs Analysts including but not limited to CMTS, technical data review, general and technical aircraft knowledge as it would relate to task card development;
- Provide continuous support for internal/external audits and business improvements including evaluating software upgrades for the CMTS;
- Support new aircraft fleet types and aircraft introduction as it relates to the scheduled maintenance program;
- Responsible for development and adjustment of scheduled maintenance visits (SMV), heavy maintenance visits (HMV), and optimized maintenance programs (OMP) as required and support of WestJet Fleet Transition for Lease Return Aircrafts.
- Must possess an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license (M, E or S license) or a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Must have a minimum of 3 - 6 years experience working in an airline maintenance or aircraft leasing environment.
- Intermediate aircraft system knowledge of aircraft within the WestJet Group considered an asset;
- Must have experience / knowledge working with Transport Canada Aviation CARS;
- Previous experience with Airworthiness Directives (AD), Service Bulletins (SB), Service Letters (SL), and supplemental type certificates (STC) preferred;
- Knowledge and or experience with WestJet and Encore operation manuals considered an asset;
- Strong understanding of Transport Canada and Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) expectations considered an asset;
- Advanced knowledge of the Boeing Maintenance Planning document, CMP's, CMR's and AWL's considered an asset;
- Advanced knowledge of TRAX functionality inclusive of data validation and troubleshooting preferred;
- Ability to research and interpret complex information from various aircraft document sources;
- Proficient with using Microsoft Suite programs and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
