Dispatcher

• Experience in dispatching, customer service, or within the school bus industry are considered assets
• Good knowledge of North Battleford and surrounding area
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally while exhibiting confidentiality and diplomacy
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a composed manner
• Customer service focus
• Expertise in organizational planning and problem solving
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Ensure that drivers and staff are treated in a fair and consistent manner using the guidelines and rules set down in the Driver’s Handbook and Policy and Procedures manual
• Ensure school routes are covered in an efficient and fair manner
• Assist in answering public and driver inquiries and finding solutions to concerns
• Ensure all required paperwork/requests are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Be aware of the yard’s bus situation and work with the Maintenance department to ensure that all units are maintained in working order in a timely manner
• Keep appropriate staff informed of any major issues, changes, concerns etc. in an expedient fashion
• General office duties as required
