
General Manager

- Lead the day-to-day operations of the OFMF head office
- Manage staff, budgets, and program delivery for a 6,000-member organization
- Ensure compliance with the Ontario Government Agreement
- Promote trapping as a sustainable and humane wildlife management practice
- Represent the Federation in communications with government and stakeholders
- Oversee strategic planning, business development, and marketing initiatives
- Support the delivery of the Trapper Education Program
- Maintain strong communication with the Executive Board and membership
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and public-facing materials
- Coordinate and support fundraising and outreach efforts
- 5+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit, government, or resource management sectors
- Post-secondary education in business, environmental studies, or a related field (minimum Grade 12 diploma required)
- Strong communication, administrative, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing staff, budgets, and strategic initiatives
- Knowledge of wildlife management and sustainable use of furbearers
- Trapping experience and/or instructor qualifications are considered assets
- Proficiency in business software and office technology
