Manage the full-cycle accounting function for the Toronto location, the organization's highest-volume sitePrepare and post journal entries, including accruals, adjustments, and correctionsReconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other balance sheet itemsManage light AP/AR responsibilities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of entriesLead the month-end close process for the site, ensuring all revenue and expenses are properly recordedMaintain and update Excel-based financial reporting decks used by senior leadershipPartner with location managers and non-finance teams to explain results, answer questions, and resolve discrepanciesProactively follow up on missing documentation and ensure all financial cutoffs are metSupport internal audits, reporting improvements, and other finance-related projects as neededQualifications
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3-5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a full-cycle capacityStrong understanding of GAAP and monthly reporting requirementsProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, etc.)Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central / Navision considered an asset)Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skillsComfortable communicating with non-financial stakeholders and answering questions about accounting dataExperience in multi-location businesses or operationally complex environments is an assetSummary
