Join a team that values excellence, teamwork, and your professional growth in a fast-paced, rewarding industry.Position OverviewAs a General Labourer and be a key player in restoration, warehouse, and moving operations. You’ll handle tasks such as demolition, emergency damage mitigation, furniture moving, cleaning, and specialized restoration work. Safety, attention to detail, and delivering excellent customer service are essential. Work independently or with a team to help BELFOR provide high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.What You’ll Do:Perform restoration work, including demolition, cleaning, deodorization, and content repositioning.Move, assemble, and position furniture, equipment, and materials on-site or in the warehouse.Operate hand and power tools for various restoration tasks.Maintain and organize warehouse equipment, inventory, and tools.Set up and dismantle scaffolding, safety enclosures, and temporary structures.Keep worksites and warehouses clean, safe, and hazard-free.Support additional tasks such as debris removal, vehicle inspections, and assisting trades and apprentices.Maintain a safe and compliant work environment by performing hazard assessments, keeping sites organized, using and storing tools and PPE properly, reporting unsafe conditions, and participating in safety training and initiatives.Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned.What You Bring:High School Diploma or EquivalentAbility to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in confined spaces.Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.Nice to HavePrior experience in construction, restoration, or a related field.Familiarity with restoration equipment and cleaning techniques.Certifications in safety practices or restoration processes are an asset.Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle in accordance with BELFOR’s Auto Policy.Our Commitment to YouTraining on BELFOR’s processes, procedures, systems, and equipment.IICRC certification(s) and other BELFOR-sponsored courses as required.Ongoing professional development through educational opportunities and skills enhancement to stay current with industry best practices.Working Conditions:● Frequent lifting from 5-40 lbs, unassisted (from 35-65% of the time)● Occasional lifting from 41 lbs +, assisted (up to 50% of the time)● Access and mobility in tight spaces● Fit Testing – half and full face mask as needed, annual certification required● Working at Heights - over 5 feet, periodically● Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending, and kneeling| Restoring more than property →ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT (AODA IN ONTARIO)BELFOR (Canada) Inc. is committed to providing a barrier-free work environment in concert with the provincial guidelines for accessibility (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and the Ontario Human Rights Code, Ontario Only).
