Our team thrives in a professional, collaborative environment focused on client satisfaction and high standards.Position OverviewWe are currently seeking an Venue Event Coordinator with 3+ years of experience in event planning or hospitality, preferably in large-scale venues. This role is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of a wide variety of events at our venue.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.Key ResponsibilitiesWork directly with clients to understand event objectives, themes, and specific needsCoordinate all event logistics including venue setup, catering, AV, décor, and staffingCreate detailed event timelines, floor plans, and run-of-show documentsLiaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless deliveryMonitor event budgets and recommend cost-effective solutionsConduct site tours, client meetings, and pre-event briefingsOversee event, setup, execution, and teardown, ensuring high-quality standardsTroubleshoot on-site issues and provide prompt resolutionsCollect post-event feedback and contribute to continuous improvementQualificationsDiploma or degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field3+ years of hands-on experience in event coordination or hospitalityExceptional organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skillsStrong communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficient in Microsoft Office and event management softwareWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsWhat We OfferA respected and well-maintained venue to representSupportive, collaborative team cultureOpportunities for growth and advancementIf you’re a motivated event professional with a passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences, we encourage you to apply and be part of our dynamic team at the Mississauga Convention Centre.
