- Establish, qualify and maintain strong relationships with AGF’s distribution network to drive revenue opportunity.
- Reach out to and service the core advisors that hold assets with AGF. Build and grow these assets and attract new advisors.
- Develop specific account and business plans for each advisor that outlines their critical success factors that ultimately results in additional sales and or a positive customer experience.
- Effectively coordinate activity and responsibilities with you team, including other Wholesalers, Inside Wholesalers and Coordinators
- Mentor Inside Wholesalers and Coordinators and other AGF teammates through coaching and regular feedback
- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and year-to-date advisor fund flows within the territory to identify trends and provide suggestions to advisors in order to retain assets.
- Provide effective product and sales support to cultivate relationships and drive sales. Achieve or exceed activity targets and sales goals.
- Proactively identify and work to implement new sales ideas, concepts and solutions. Profile advisors, uncover needs and determine cross-sell opportunities.
- Consistently maintain top levels of activity and sales results and develop/sustain strong relationships with financial advisors.
- Provide support to dealers and brokers on the market and fund performance, as well as portfolio profiles, value added programs, products and corporate updates.
- Keep abreast of changes in the market and incorporate that knowledge into conversations with advisors. Stay current with competition and effectively communicate advantages and opportunities when presented with competitive situations.
- Effectively employ technology resources provided by AGF.
- Create and deliver effective sales presentations and conference calls to promote AGF products.
- Be an active participant in West District and National Conferences
- Manage yearly budget in order to achieve yearly objectives.
- Maintain timely and accurate records of all advisor activity
- Weekend & evening presentations may be required.
- Travel may be required
- University degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Solid knowledge of the investment industry, combined with minimum 5 years Wholesaler experience or industry equivalent.
- Established IIROC advisor relationships, in the Vancouver, Lower Mainland, and/or BC Okanagan regions.
- Strong capital markets knowledge, particularly of the stock and bond markets and how they relate to mutual funds, ETFs and Alternatives
- Proactive self-starter and contributor who excels both solely and in a team environment
- Knowledge of advanced investments products preferred.
- Proven sales ability with effective customer relationship building skills.
- Team player and self–starter, highly motivated, and results driven.
- Demonstrates a high level of independence and creativity.
- Strong organizational and follow-up abilities.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills, effective listening skills; excellent presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced challenging environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Co-Pilot, PowerPoint and Excel and Salesforce or similar
- Advanced certification, CFA, MBA, CFP or CIM preferred.
