Job Category: OperationsResponsibilities: JOB SUMMARYThis position is primarily responsible for providing part and gauge dimensional information to engineering and customers. It also performs complex layout and tasks with specialized equipment to meet the Company's quality requirements and procedures. It inspects the product and reports accurate data on qualified part. DUTIES/RESPONSABILITIES
  • Provides technical support in geometrical tolerancing and aerospace blueprint interpretation.
  • Performs layouts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Cares in utilizing and up keeping of dimensional equipment.
  • Operates dimensional inspection equipment including CAD and CMM.
  • Operates optical digitizing equipment 3D non-contact measurement (optional).
  • Analyzes inspection requirements.
  • Performs final visual feature check of castings.
  • Provides technical support in interpretation.
  • Develops methods and techniques that can significantly impact cutting labor cost.
  • Keeps calibration date for dimensional inspection equipment & tooling.
  • Performs calibration for dimensional equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Respects the values and code of ethics of the company.
  • Respects the Environment, Health & Safety programs of the company.
Qualifications: REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Must be capable of reading and interpreting aerospace blueprints.
  • Must have proven understanding of basic trigonometry concepts.
  • Proficiency with computer systems/programming is required of higher grade.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma or equivalent plus formal education in advanced mathematical including trigonometry such as DEP in machining and ASP in CMM is required.

EXPERIENCE
  • One to three years of relevant experience in industrial environment. Hands on mechanical experience with basic measuring equipment is desired.
