This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to join us in a very important support role for the entire hospital. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated!Assisting Veterinarians and Technicians with various tasks and treatment of pet patientsProviding compassionate care duties including feeding and walking patientsPlacing outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookingsTechnical skills should include knowledge of patient care and restraint, client care, and surgical assistingGeneral hospital maintenance including cleaning kennelsEnhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical teamRespond and manage email correspondence; clients, referring veterinarians & internal office messagesRequirements:Compassionate approach to create a warm and welcoming environment for our patients and pet parentsStrong communication skills and the ability to work with a dynamic and diverse teamAbility to remain calm and efficient in stressful situationsAbility to answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectivelyWillingness to learn more regarding; veterinary services, updated medical office procedures and assisting the Veterinary staff with various tasks and treatmentsInitiative in carrying out assignments independentlyPrevious customer service or front desk experience in hospitality is an asset!Flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends and holidays.A love for all small companions animals!!What VCA Canada OffersJoin our team and you will make a huge difference in the lives of pets and their families!
