Jardeg is currently recruiting for a Carpenter Apprentice to work with the Aomega Project team in Calgary!The schedule for this position is 5 days on 2 days off; Monday to Friday. At this time, candidates that are local to Calgary area will be considered.As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will:
  • Assist in building forms for concrete
  • Cut, shape, and join specialty materials per specifications
  • Look for and fix deficiencies
  • Check accuracy of work, and makes adjustments as required
  • Study blueprints for work planning
  • Construct and forms chutes for pouring concrete
  • Erect scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level
Inform immediate supervisor of abnormalities or defects and/or takes appropriate measures * Loading/unloading materialsPerform labourer duties in addition to carpentry work * Maintain clean, organized work areas; remove debris and hazards; support end-of-shift cleanupRequirements:
  • Preference will be given to Registered Carpenter Apprentices from a recognized provincial training authority
  • Non-registered carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
  • Certifications: CSTS and WHMIS
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
