Are you ready to kickstart your career in a hands-on, fast-paced environment? We're looking for a motivated and reliable Junior Shop Hand to join our client's dynamic team in Nisku, Alberta. This is an exciting opportunity to get your foot in the door and learn the skills needed for a successful career in industrial operations.The successful candidate will be a vital part of the team, keeping the shop clean and organized. Your main duties will include using a pressure washer to clean various industrial parts. You'll also get hands-on experience moving these components, both manually and with an overhead crane. Don't worry if you don't have experience with a crane-our client is ready to teach you!This is a great chance to learn valuable skills and build a solid foundation for your career. - Competitive pay: $23/hour
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Daytime hours - 7:00am to 4:30pm shifts
- Weekly direct deposit paid through Randstad
- 4% vacation pay on each deposit
- Opportunity to gain experience in a professional shop setting and learn new skills, such as operating an overhead craneResponsibilities
- Operate a pressure washer to clean downhole motor components and other shop equipment
- Assist with moving and handling heavy components
- Learn to use an overhead crane to move heavy equipment (training provided!)
- Help maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard
- Support the team with various general labour tasks as requiredQualifications
- 6+ months of previous experience in a heavy general labour, manufacturing or warehouse environment
- Reliable transportation is required to get to and from the worksite
- Physically capable of prolonged standing, walking and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in variable weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, attendance and reliabilitySummary
