- Build strong, respectful and lasting relationships with Indigenous communities across Saskatchewan, enhancing Worley’s corporate reputation and ability to deliver impactful Indigenous Capacity Development services, in alignment with Worley’s Indigenous Engagement Policy.
- Build trusted relationships with leadership and representatives of First Nation, Métis, and other Indigenous groups, as well as municipalities and local community organizations, to ensure inclusive and meaningful engagement.
- Act as a key liaison between local Indigenous communities and project stakeholders, supporting the implementation of project strategies that ensure mutual benefits during both the development and long-term operation of our clients’ investments.
- Collaborate with post-secondary institutions, training partners and community-based organizations to advance Indigenous capacity building programs and assist in recruiting local and Indigenous talent for project related roles.
- Establish and/or maintain productive relationships with educational institutions, training providers and local government bodies.
- Demonstrate superior interpersonal, verbal communication, facilitation and presentation skills to effectively engage and align internal stakeholders with Indigenous engagement goals.
- Ability to guide and support supervisory teams in navigating cultural differences and engaging respectfully with Indigenous peoples, including facilitating and participating in meaningful and sometimes challenging conversations.
- Apply subject matter expertise to operationalize Indigenous Capacity Development within Worley’s business framework, including planning, process management, performance tracking, and reporting systems.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of Indigenous Engagement project plans, providing regular updates and insights to the Indigenous Community Relations Lead to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
- Maintain efficient workflows and proactive communications to support the diverse initiatives of the Indigenous Engagement Team, effectively managing multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
- Consistently meet project deadlines and commitments.
- Provide strategic analysis and recommendations on Indigenous engagement strategies, opportunities, and emerging issues relevant to Worley and the Indigenous communities impacted by our operations.
- Advise on socioeconomic development initiatives that support direct and indirect benefits, including social investment, Indigenous employment, workforce training and supplier/subcontractor inclusion.
