- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with the client, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement and any deviations from the established training plan.
- Maintain a clear understanding of daily, weekly, and overall program objectives within the training curriculum.
- Lead and deliver effective training to both new (green) and experienced mining equipment operators.
- Administer, manage, and coordinate the day‑to‑day execution of training plans, schedules, and programs.
- Perform all duties in strict compliance with applicable safety standards and procedures.
- Utilize high‑fidelity simulators as primary tools for operator training and skill development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve simulator technical issues promptly; escalate to a supervisor or support teams when necessary.
- Perform field‑based technical tasks, including system‑level fault diagnosis, hardware repairs, and software configuration and updates.
- Install, calibrate, and operate Conversion Kits used for equipment simulation. - Schedule and perform periodic maintenance of the simulators.
- Implement newly acquired training technologies, updating training workflows, procedures, and related protocols to ensure seamless integration.
- Analyze operational performance data to identify training needs by role and skill area, aiming to drive measurable improvements and positive ROI through continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Monitor, identify, and report any deviations from the established training plan, ensuring alignment with program objectives and operational requirements.
- Prepare daily reports detailing the operational status of the simulators and the progress of ongoing training activities.
- Provide end‑of‑shift reports summarizing simulator performance and progress toward weekly training objectives.
- Generate and analyze training reports, offering clear feedback on operator performance and identifying opportunities for operational improvement.
- Establish, organize, and maintain comprehensive training histories and records for all participants.
- Ensure consistent and timely communication by maintaining information flow in accordance with the established communication plan.
- Must be a Canadian citizen, preferably residing in the province of Ontario.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mining mobile equipment operations (e.g., Instructor, Operator, Engineering, or other operational roles) or a junior Bachelor's degree in Mine Engineering or a related field.
- Proficient with basic Microsoft software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong technical aptitude with familiarity in training technologies and related tools.
- Excellent communication skills with strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
